I'm up late, /jp/... I usually get to sleep before 9 AM. How does Yukari do it? Asleep all of the time, 24 hours. It must be rejuvinating, sleeping for a whole day.

Sleep is wonderful.

You all seem kind of bitter about sleep. Is it bad dreams? They just reflect your inner personality. All of those bad things in your nightmare are you, made by your mind with your effort to tell you about your fears.

That's no excuse to dislike sleep, anonymous...

I sleep 14 hours on average.

My best is like, 22 hours. Didn't feel all that refreshed after.
I love sleep and all, but I really wish I was able to wake up and, you know, live once in a while.

Can you explain THAT dream, >>1030710 ?

The depression is a part of you just as much as your deeper loves and guilts are. If you ask the right doctor, he might say it's just as much a part of you as the hormones and chemicals in your systems. Medicine just dampens the impact.

That's still not an excuse to dislike sleep.

I can't live without getting at least 12 hours a sleep a day. Sleeping is heaven, it's the greatest feeling the world and you can dream! You're not a good Hikki unless you get 10 hours a sleep a night. My philosophy is that there's no point in going outside and seeing the world, because I can dream all of it myself. It's beautiful. It's the highest form of life. Nothing can surpass it. As people work themselves to death on my behalf, I'm lying still in my bed, dreaming away. Why are those who work considered better, when throughout history, those who own the highest pleasures do not? As a Hikkikomori, I am a majestic aristocrat, and sleep is my ambrosia.

I hate sleeping. It's a waste of time. I'm in my bed doing nothing but letting the hours slip away. There's nothing to accomplish while asleep. Sleep is only good for refreshing yourself for a new time of work and action, but anything more than 8 hours is a waste.

I don't experience my dreams, so sleep is just a temporary cessation of activity that passes instantly from my perspective. It's useful to pass the time, but ultimately I end up avoiding it as much as possible in these interesting times.

Think after 20 hours or so, it starts going downhill.
In my last period of NEET-ness I'd occasionally sleep for 30 hours on end, and everytime I woke up dehydrated and usually very confused, not feeling well at all.

I am counterpoint'd!

Some of them probably don't, along with lots of individual variance, but I know I basically never dream - unless I go too long without taking my meds. Or at least, I never remember it.

How much are you taking, and when? A small-to-medium dose in the morning (well, assuming a normal sleep schedule - you know what I mean) would probably get (mostly) flushed from your system by bedtime.
