I found the characters in Disgaea 2 to be rather bland compared to Laharl, Etna and Flonne. Even the side characters seemed to have more personality than Disgaea 2's cast. Then after that plot twist where she rapes Disgaea 1's cast it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I put about 800 hours into the first one and only played the second one for a little more than 1 play through.

At least Disgaea 3 was better.

Thank god someone agrees with me. I think 3 was just as good as 1. I liked the story, characters, and dub a lot. It also had the best choice of classes (4 deleted a ton of ones I liked). And I'd fuck Almaz.

What's with all the Disgaea 2 hate? I liked all the characters and I thought the story was good. Adell and Rozalin worked well together too.

Well they focus 99% on their attention to the US, anything outside falls to Tecmo-Koei usually. Ghostlight are a company from England so they're a lot more focused on releasing stuff in Europe and they also have a decent blog with updates so it's no surprise that they're better for Europeans. NISA has a cancerous forum and small news updates about stuff on their store but that's about it, no real community interaction so them feigning ignorance is nothing new, especially when it comes to fucking over Europeans.

Different scenario really. The PS3 DLC is extremely easy to work around, you simply make an alt account, download the DLC, log back into your main account and enjoy the DLC. It's mildly annoying and stupid that you need to do this because of their incompetence but it's not the end of the world. If you had to swap around different memory cards and shit then it'd be a different story but you don't so I don't see why it's a big deal.

Tecmo Koei only handles the psychical distribution. All DLC/Avatars/Patches is up to NISA. It would have made sense if they left that area to outside publishers too like with most other EU published games but i suppose they want to reap full profits from the jewish DLC schemes in their games.

Has anyone else been replaying Disgaea lately? I just broke out my copy of Disgaea for the first time since 2003 and have been autisically playing it nonstop.

Any news yet on who will make a reappearance in Disgaea D2 post-game? I'm not sure if the dimension travelling means time travel as well, but I'd like to see Fuuka appear again since she's the only real axe girl we have. Maybe Valvatorez too in his Tyrant days.

Fuuka seems likely, she's pretty popular. I just hope they don't drop the ball on other weapons like they did in D4, where it was fist or sword or go home. I think guns, spears, bows didn't even get an A scaling move as their secret skill, whereas axe, fist and sword get S scaling.
