The time line effectively continues past where Alt ended, so if they don't release it in volumes like an asshole, TE is going to have a portion that could be technically be considered a sequel. No (and it isn't that good IMO for being so dragged out), but on the other hand you don't really need to read anywhere near all of the text if you want to play it. One point of the game, according to Marutani, is more or less that there is no "true" ending and he would prefer if people played it withour a kouryaku to see what kind of ending they end up with (there's a fuckload of choices). Alternatively, you can consult this kouryaku (maybe there are other similar ones nowadays, it's been a fairly long time since I played FS):

Also, just thought I'd mention it here since I haven't seen a lot of people talking about it, but France Shoujo is actually a prequel of sorts (the stories aren't really linked as far as I can see but they share the setting) to another PIL game called 女郎蜘蛛, released originally for the PC-98 in 1997 (screenshot is from the 2002 Windows remake). Isaji and Chouko are originally from this game. I've played a bit of it and at this point it seems to be written in a similar style but without being anywhere near as dragged, and it seems to have a more "focused" plot so to speak. It's somewhat hindered by a simulation gameplay system though.

Digging up information about Jorougumo turned up some other interesting information as well, such the fact that France Shoujo was apparently almost completely written by 2001 already, by which time it was announced as a sequel to Jorougumo. It wasn't until much later that they got an artist for the game, which is why it was only released in 2009.

Well, it's no Ruitomo (the plots are different anyway), but honestly all the characters are quite enjoyable. Like many had said earlier Luna has the best route and is arguably the best character.

Unfortunately the rest of the routes aren't as good, but they can be enjoyable to a certain extent. Ursule is quite decent, while Mizuho's route is pretty okay as well for the facts that you get to see Luna/Risona's interaction with Asahi. I haven't played Minato's route so I can't comment on that.

tl;dr pretty well-written overall, Luna-sama, good/funny characters all around, decent comedy in terms of banter, unfortunately the routes didn't match each other in terms of quality.

Speaking of which, does the prologue ever play a part in the main story again? It's such a waste to neglect all that excellent writing. While I think Tsuriotsu is a decent game, it suffers from the lack of a True Route. Each heroine's route is pretty self-contained which makes the game loses its momentum some times.

It's less of a fan disk, and more of a continuation/sequel with extra ero scenes. If you liked the first one, you'll like it, they're about the same par. However, like the first one, you won't be getting any real answers, there is no closure to the core plot/antagonist really (rather, I think the entire scenario is above the writers skill levels.)

That being said the atmosphere is calming, the progression of events are interesting enough to keep you going, the quantam mechanics aspect provokes interesting thought exercises. Really the only fair basis of comparison is the original. Personally I recommend it, though mileage will vary highly.

Well here are some loop games that aren't very well known or aren't listed in that Vndb link

-Prismaticallization. This one is about a group who keep reliving the same day though they don't realize it at first. It's a pretty interesting game where you have to look for a way to escape that loop.
Also the Infinity series ripped it off completely.
I still have the iso if anyone wants it, it's PS1 only though.

WA2's drama is not forced. The flow of events and twists are excellent.
On the other hand, the original WA's is. Moreover, the PC port of the remake version is very buggy and unless you want to play it for the artwork or seiyuus, I won't recommend it.
