I like to believe that certain countries cater more to certain types of people. Some countries have certain lifestyles and environments that different types of people feel either more comfortable with, or more uneasy.

Have you ever had the feeling that your personality, doesn't fit the country you live it? I feel this way about America; America has a very forward and superficial atmosphere, EVERYTHING revolves around being the loudest and the strongest, In America what you do isn't measured by your actions and your humility, but by how well you boast about it. Americans only notice the loudest individual, no matter if they are good or not.

I personally value Japan for doing the opposite, Japan seas humility and honorable, upstanding behavior over being the "squeaky wheel" who flaunts to get ahead in life. They value honesty and sensibility, as well as thoughtfulness and perceptive thinking. I believe Japan is most suited to introverted people, rather than other countries.

And thats why I think most of you identify with the Japanese in some ways.

I would like to go to Palestine and find a delicious Arabic woman who adheres to traditional gender roles without all the meta/cruft.

I would be willing to work hard and give up my NEET lifestyle for this.

I think no civilization is 100% homogenus. There will be variations of how people feel.

These societies you idolize want nothing to do with you. You realize that, don't you?

I just like that some Japanese people aren't afraid of shamelessly catering to small groups of people with deviant interests, as opposed to targeting the majority, and avoiding anything the majority might not like, 99% of the time.

unfortunately true, but it's a bit reassuring that not everywhere in the world is full of loud arrogant obnoxious people, even if I'll never personally be accepted in such a society.

it's slightly less depressing to think "I just live in a shitty culture" than "I'm just a weird person who is nothing like the rest of humanity".
