I didn't really "get it" until it basically tells you, and honestly I got mad. I think the solution to the murders themselves is retarded and implausible. There's a meta explanation, but it doesn't make the solution any more satisfying. I had jokingly thought of the answer way back in chapter two in the same way that you might think "what would happen if I just drove off this cliff?" while driving. The solution to the mystery is easily the worst part of Umineko.

The problem with the wedding scene is that it WAS the entire novel. Ryukishi's always been kind of bad with pacing, and it's exemplified with this scene (as well as the trial in episode 5). Erika is a good character, but there's only so many hours of gloating I can read before becoming annoyed. The first time I read chapter 6, I remember being unable to enjoy the payoff "happy ending" because I was just waiting for something else to go wrong. He seriously needs a good editor to get rid of the ellipses and to keep him from getting bogged down in redundant shit, something that happens a LOT in Chiru.

Sadly I used to think the new Beato Battler had created was accomodated to like him. There wasn't a definite word from the old Beatrice (EP1-4). Which means the relationship was just pure fantasy even in the meta world, it feels like a love fanfiction with your favourite character. It makes me sad I cannot read the full episodes of 5 and 6. I can guess what could happen but I think Ryukishi had trouble to write further after the suspense reached the climax.

I have seen some good Sayo=Ikuko points and, even if I have some (personal?) troubles with it, I'd like to believe it to be a real possibility. My biggest problem with the theory, though, and this isn't something I think can be overlooked, is that I really don't see how Featherine's behaviour is supposed to be related to it.
