Originally I thought that having multiple threads on boards with different speeds would benefit both but now I realize how naive that way of thinking is.

Whenever there are two options there will always be fighting and rivalry even if it doesn't make any sense to do that and eventually one option will be adopted, societies whenever irl or in the internet tend to centralize themselves and on the internet it's even worse cause people are not separated by distances and all the options will be instantly reachable so competition is unavoidable.
Such is human nature, thanks for the lesson I guess.
