I don't know if this is helpful, but what I did was find a collection of all the games, played them for a little bit, until I found one I was most comfortable with.

I ended up working on a PCB Normal 1CC first. I've only got three 1CC's under my belt so far, but I would very much recommend starting out on the Normal difficulty and on PCB as well.

Normal because you're less likely to get frustrated and I know from experience in trying to get my 1CC's that your motivation level is huge when you have a goal in mind. The more I die to dumb things that I've gotten past a ton of times, for instance, the more likely I find I mess up each time I restart the run.

As for why PCB, it's got a really forgiving gimmick that's also non-invasive, you really don't have to worry about it too much while you're playing other than to go "Oh cool I got a temporary bomb!". Also, I 1CC'd it using SakuyaA, although I was playing ReimuB not too long ago and it seems really strong too!
