“Aw, don’t get all crazy on me or nothing, ‘kay?” Yuugi acts reassuring, “I’ve gotta make a living down here too.”

“…Doing my job?”

“Er…” Yuugi finds herself at a loss for words. For a moment, “Well, you did lead me here. You might not have known it at the time, but you did a fine job showing me the way. Grats, drinks are on me when we get back, okay?”

Parsee doesn’t seem thrilled by the idea, but Yuugi has taken her attention away from me. All three seem to be focused entirely on each other. Perhaps this is the chance I’ve been waiting for.

But is it a chance I’m willing to take? I don’t have the time to think it through, so I simply don’t act on the impulse to leave. I’m in no danger, nor am I being held against my will… more or less, so I’ve honestly no reason to escape. However, this ship does still interest me, so perhaps I’ll have a look around while they’re not paying attention.

I crawl back into the hatch, heading below decks into the belly of the beast. Upon opening a nearby door I find a face-full of cobwebs and a bulkhead that had been splintered wide open by some ancient catastrophe. All signs point to this ship having been taken down forcibly in an attack. To the left of me the wood appears charred, and to the right sits an old desk pushed onto its side. Ancient documents strewn about disintegrate as I touch them.

The floor creaks and gives way as I step forward, and I’d have likely tumbled down into the lower deck were it not for someone pulling me back. I turn to face the strange woman who had claimed to be a messenger of a Buddhist god.

>no special significance is given to Yuugi's dish.
Well, her theme soong is named for it.

But we have Yuugi who is a deva...is Suika a deva? Also, isn't Vaisravana/Bishamonten a deva in real-life mythology, making Shou potentially linked to him?

Lucky dip from my Shou folder, may be NSFW
