Not too different, but legally distinct (Please don't sue me KC) from the MGE Anubis. I still love anubutts, after all.
Mostly, I'm mixing what I love about the anubis with some other traits I like, especially the wolfgirl design in >>15789710


So delicious brown skin, obviously. Hands still have four digits (three fingers and thumb) per hand, but are soft, fluffly, and slightly larger than a human's, with the standard pawpads. Feet would be the same, four toes per paw, but way more slender than KC's, like in that wolfgirl picture. Digitigrade, but not too digitigrade. The shins and tibia would still be longer than the metatarsals, but I guess it could change on a case by case basis, depending on how tall an individual anput might be.
As a general rule, fur from the hands to elbows, and feet to knees will be darker in tone than the fur past those points. On my waifu this'd probably be black fur. It could range from black, to dark blue, to auburn, to gold, or grey too on others.
After the elbows, lighter, finer fur would cover the upper arms, a clean colour gradient change occuring where the elbow meets the upper arm, and the lower leg the knee. Soft enough to still feel the skin beneath, and the fur from the arms would come down her armpits and sides, framing her bare chest and torso when viewed from the front, and her back when viewed from behind. Then these two lines of fur would join with the lighter fur framing her thighs, the way they are in that wolfgirl picture.

I've been playing around with ideas for a mane, too. Like the 'core's fluffy ring of fur, in this case it'd integrate with the fur coming from her arms and shoulders leading down her body. Just something around the collar, perhaps. Slightly more golden fur, to make the design more reminiscent of the African golden wolf Anubis (the actual deity) is based on?
But that's another "maybe" idea, like the possibility for the abdomen runes, each unique to the individual. Generally, they'd be designs with a line of symmetry running down the anput's middle, but assymetrical desings could be possible.

I have no idea what my waifu's abdominal runes would look like, though. She'd have green eyes, black hair, black fur at the extremities, and darker grey fine fur everywhere else. Maybe her mane fur would be a very, very dark brown, with flecks of black and gold fur strands in there. And her pawpads would be a splotchy mix of black and pink due to uneven pigment, where it just so happens to create a little pink heart shape on the center pawpad of her left foot. It's hard to really get down with this stuff when I'm sevrely lacking in drawing skills to illustrate and visualise my ideas.

I now await all the replies to this which just say "Autism: The post." I have mixed feeling about disucssing this kind of stuff I come up with. On the one hand, it's fun and liberating in a way. But in another, it makes me anxious because I'm exposing a rather kind of private part of my mind to people, especially in an unfinished state.
