I took care of my terminally ill brother and grandma for 5 years until both died in the timespan of 8 months. It's been 3 years and I still can't live it down how much I miss my grandma and how much I suffered in all those years. It's fucking painful to be forced to have part of your limited life to take care of some relatives, even though it was your own choice to do so. I really, really, really hope no one ever has to go through what I did, it's absolute hell and the emotional scars will never go away.
