I had mine on my flagship at first, but had to move it to slot 2. Flagship protection kept getting Kitakami disabled. Your weakest attacking ship in the 2nd slot should be fine.

On my kill run both extra himes were disabled in day battle so it ended up not really mattering.

That's not even that bad. My support+CLTs killed everything but the flagship and Tsu. Still my Yamato got critical hit twice by the CL bitch. Oh an Yukikaze got hit to red for the fourth time by a normal attack at that node.

I gave up on sparkling after this run and cleared E-5 like 5 runs later.
