She doesn't understand the line between making fun of someone and saying mean things about them. A lot of times in stage MC she'll tell a story about someone else that seems funny to her but comes across as kind of insensitive and malicious.

So it's not that she's trying to be mean, it's just that she lacks the empathy to recognize when an insult is funny and when it's just an insult.
