Cause it was the first Fate show that had the Michael Bay action prettiness that Fate/Stay Night 2006 didn't have. Also having a serious take on the war was more appealing to newcomers since it was just the genre of the times, hell Guilty Crown and Mirai Nikki and both of those definitely had their own share of edge. Plus at that point, everyone online had already torn down FSN 2006 so anyone interested in Fate would look at this new entry that was labeled as a prequel and see something that should clear up any confusion as well as letting people skip 2006.
People have exaggerated the complexity of Fate/Stay Night ever since the VN had become popular so when people are given a path that seems easiest, they take it cause the meme of "How do I start Fate?" became reality since being braindead is a side effect of anime fans for the past few years.

Did Type-Moon announce the Tsukihime Remake as early as 2008 because they knew they were about to embark in at least a decade of only Servant pandering bullshit, to make lots of money while ignoring what makes Nasu's VNs good? If you look at it that way, releasing Mahoyo and Carnival Phantasm was pretty nice of them, though it's already been 6 years since those.
I'm just trying to cope.

Generally spreading good or bad opinions about something does have an effect, as minor and insignificant as it is.
I know Axia's praise won't give FGO any kind of advantage, it's more that I'm against it on a personal level, and I do find it hypocritical. And she goes on the /fgog/ shithole. Seems exactly like the kind of person who just eats up modern TM shit and clings on to the little good it has, despite the overwhelming sea of low effort shit that cause massive wastes of potential.

Interesting. I assume the opinion on Kohaku back then was just as divided as Sakura is now.
