Seriously. Both Homura and Sayaka are such lovely people

Sometimes I wonder what Kyosuke would've done if he knew about Sayaka's sacrifice. Clearly, he didn't think of her as an important person, so he probably wouldn't felt awkwardly indebted

And even if he knew, wouldn't such an action be considered selfishness? After all, is it not a form of manipulation to perform such martyrdom? Should someone who doesn't love you feel *compelled* to love you just because you did something like that for them, without their knowledge or consent?

No. No, they shouldn't. And Sayaka learned that the hard way.

Such a lovely person with such simple wants, but so confused and misguided as to how to achieve them. Ah, Sayaka..

That's not what you should take away from her story. If you want something, go for it. She wanted Kyosuke, but made excuse after excuse for why she didn't deserve him when HE didn't come to HER

Neither life nor love will wait for you. Hers was a cautionary tale of what happens if aren't honest with what you want and earnestly try to achieve it. She just made sacrifices and hoped things would work out for her due to some greater karma or power of love, like a romance story. They didn't. It's not ignoble to have wants and needs. Follow your heart and go for what you want with all your passion and soul. That's what she taught me
