Pardon, if you found enjoyment in the way the series gets esoteric and complicated as episodes go on (even I enjoyed a little the whole conflict between magic and logic the series takes throughout), then truly it was worth it for an audience besides me. I never meant to say that it gets bad or stale (though I would make a case for how ridiculous and crowded it gets) from a storytelling point.

I guess what I meant to say is that I enjoy vanilla murder mysteries more, I guess!

The mystery on episode one at least was quite interesting, though it's been at least a couple of years since I've read it. I can vouch for it, though!

I have no opinion on the other episodes because they left less of an impact on me. One thing I did enjoy following was the train of thought on the conundrum if Kinzo was alive or dead by the time the family arrived on the island. Now THAT was a twist!
