These people have some steps that are not options but rather mandatory to improving their own comprehension/relationship with why, why exactly, they even are watching vtubers to begin with.
a.) learn how things are designed. Holos follow tons of common 2D industry tropes quite on purpose. Chuunis, tsunderes kuuderes etc. They're not normal girls behind 2D avatars - they're 2D avatars with actors behind them specifically playing into 2D girl personalities. Whether they all follow them 100% is not even up for debate because few/none of them really play into it 100%, but they literally lean into written archetypes, personalities, scripted events/interactions etc. There's a lot of freestyle interplay between it but it is designed to be on rails just FYI. Nijisanji gives the more mundane/normal-people feel they're trying to force out of Holos.

b.) Contemplate, whether you want to admit it or not, you are into what is a very dorky, otaku-y thing in Japan that is specifically aimed at the otaku market. Hololive is specifically designed to be otaku-pandering for people who in essence like/want something as close to IRL anime girls as can exist. To shit on people wanting and defending those notions is like going into a steakhouse and yelling "I'M VEGAN, FUCK YOU ALL WHY AREN'T YOU VEGANS," it will never ever go over well and never not look out of touch.

Given the utter swarm of newfags, tons of people right now are in that vegan-in-a-steakhouse mode still.
