Alright I'll try to explain this as simply as I can. Most of it's from memory since my memory regarding KKK is a bit choppy.
The Tumour was Hajun's twin brother who was absorbed by him in the womb, and by some weird turn they've been linked ever since. He can always feel it breathing on him/touching him etc but he can't actually perceive it, needless to say this completely pisses him off. Confuses Marie's embrace for the tumour. kills her and most of her entourage etc. He takes the throne and now the Tumour is fucking shook. It has to cling on to the throne for survival and hide amongst all the souls, or else Hajun will find him and gut his ass. Enough time passes by that he's able to create a sensory(Habaki) and his self destructive factor takes roots too(Rindou). Yada Yada Yada, they beat Hajun. The tumour was always a formless entity, Amaterasu is the tumour reborn through the union of Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto's combined Taikyoku (Those are the divine names of Habaki and Rindou). Amaterasu and the tumour for all intents and purposes, are about as separate entities as you can get. You can really see this with their different laws.
