Funny how reality mimics art. Of course Swedes of all people would try to kill something through cuckoldry. It's almost as if it's in their very genetics at this point.

You're out in the park, relaxing after a long day in the cooling air watching the sun set. Once the street lights turn on, you start to head off towards the nearest exit from the stalking grounds before you spot something that was not there when you entered. Set to the side by the exit, hiding in the trees, is a wooden building of zipangu design. Curiosity overpowers your reason, and you enter to find a shop with many oddities laying on shelves and tables. At the back is a tanuki that does not speak when you greet her, only giving an amused grin. On the wall behind her are a set of rules.
1. Only those that have heard of the shop shall find it
2. You may only purchase one item from the shop
3. Payment will be taken automatically
4. You will never find the shop again
This reminds you of one of those 'true stories that happened to a friend of a cousin of an estranged uncle of mine' that were told a lot during summer camps. A few items catch your eye.

Nestled on a pillow is an ostrich sized egg that seemed warm to the touch. The color of the shell is pitch black, and you can feel something moving around inside.

Hanging from the wall is a glowing pendant, appearing as a winged dagger made of white gold. Something feels holy about the object, but it makes you feel uneasy.

Standing on a low shelf is a moderately sized mirror set into an ornate standing frame. Instead of seeing a reflection of yourself in it, all you can see is shifting white flames.

On a high shelf you find a large, dusty book bound in black dragon leather with gold pages. You're unable to open it to peek inside, some magic force keeping it closed. Somehow it excites your curiosity until you set it back down.

Set in a box on one of the tables, among other ordinary looking stones, is a black orb with ornate runes crafted into the softball sized item. It feels fairly heavy in your hand, and impossibly smooth besides the etchings on the surface. It almost feels like it's trying to talk with you.

You thought it was the rambling of a crazy bum, a story of a shop with no sign that appears in dark alleyways and streets. But there it stood before you, right in the way of the shortcut you were taking home from that same bar. The nameless shop, run by a tanuki that does not speak. Out of morbid curiosity, you enter.
It's a small place with the black haired tanuki lounging behind the counter in the back, bizarre and eerie objects contained within. On the wall is a list of rules.
Only those who have heard of the shop will find it
Time does not pass in the shop
Payment will be taken from you whether you like it or not
You will never find the shop a second time
You may only purchase one item
Upon asking if the payment is money, the tanuki shakes her head no. There are a few items contained within that attract your attention, almost seeming to call out to you.

A black kitsune tail hangs from the wall, a golden cap stuck on the severed end of the appendage. As you touch it the tail moves beneath your hand, a voice calling out to your mind.

On a shelf sits a baseball sized orb of black crystal, attracting your touch. The object is far heavier than it looks, it taking both arms for you to keep it from falling to the floor.

In one of the boxes is a stone sword hilt with glowing runes carved into it's form. The glow strengthens when it is pointed into one specific direction.

An hourglass with gold sand all drained into the very bottom. It is made from some sort of magical metal that you cannot identify.

A deck of worn out playing cards, each one pitch black with white numbers on the front of each card following normal deck format. The suits are replaced by different demonic symbols, with no extra markings or decoration for the deck.

Tanuki are symbols of prosperity that will lead all monsters to a brighter life with concepts of industry and savings.
Someone has to be smart enough to manage the resources and it isn't some egotistical despot or overblown lizard that couldn't even tell hoarding from investment.
