Alright, I think I'm done for today, ggs Ganondorf. Sorry for using those troll-tier decks, but I figured that there's no point in frustrating myself trying to use normal tactics with such delay. I guess the game would agree with me, since the delay counter broke like it does when it gets above 8.

Well I mean, we don't know what he is basing this off of.

Easy compared to SA? Sure, whatever.
Easy compared to GFW or MoF? Ehhh...

Play against the CPU to learn the basic mechanics of the game only. Move to netplay when you can reliably beat the CPU on lunatic, since the CPU plays nothing like a human and you'll only learn bad habits if you keep playing against it exclusively. Most of the advice I'm giving here won't apply against the CPU. It's most likely you'll get beaten a lot at first during netplay, but that applies to pretty much any game.

To make learning easier, you might want to pick only a few characters to practise. You can't expect to win if you don't know what moves your character has and learning all 20 is going to take some time. None of the characters are too low tier, at least on /jp/ level of play, so pick the ones you find interesting or fun.

While all of the characters have a basic combo that works by pressing the melee button repeatedly, some simply can't rely on that alone. Look at the wiki linked in the OP post for some combo examples. Cirno, for example, does only 1309 damage with her basic Dial-A, yet with her alternative ice sword skill she has a 2900 damage corner combo.

One of the most common mistakes new players do is trying to attack after they've been knocked down and are getting up again. If your opponent times his attack right, you WILL get hit again. The proper action is usually to block on wakeup.
