Translation is a skill that requires comprehension ability in the source language as well as composition ability in the target language. Just because you can figure out what's going on in Japanese doesn't necessarily mean you can translate. Improving any skill requires practical application of that skill, but that does not mean you need to flood the internet with poor quality translations as you attempt to improve. Ultimately I guess it all comes down to your personal perception of your ability, but being confident you're capable doesn't mean you are. Of course I can't do anything to stop you from releasing tons of garbage translations, and I really doubt most of the people reading them care one little bit, since a lot of them have no standards at all.
