Yep, making the resolution entirely about St.Lucia made everything that happened between that and the finale feel pointless. If it weren't for Rika and Satoko keeping the powers in the end everything would truly have been entirely pointless and might as well not have happened at all, which is probably what they aimed to accomplish with that, so people forgot all of Satoko's carnage, but that's kind of hard when it's 70% of the series and especially 90% of Sotsu.
