Ideally you should approach Yukari while she strolls around the village, she'll have her mental defenses up so when you compliment her and ask her out on a date she'll slip into her arrogant act and reject you.
Rejection is a good thing as at that point you'll tell her that you'll ask her again tomorrow no matter what, she will now appear at that location around the same time tomorrow where she will play hard to get but if you have some kind of gift like flowers or a token of your affection she will accept it and make a show about how she'll entertain you out of kindness.
By this point she is already crushing on you as nobody gives her the time of day otherwise and it would take some major fuck to make her lose interest in you.
