If I dislike the general look and feel of the remakes, and genuinely think it hampers the experience, it's only natural that I'll attempt to explain why in excruciating detail. And that means analyzing every little change, no matter how minor, because all of them come together to create that look I dislike. You appear to think I'm just reaching for things to complain about because I talk about seemingly inconsequential changes. But how else am I supposed to analyze the change as a whole if I don't bring up every little thing and explain why it's bad? I'm dissecting every part to explain how it all causes a major change in the feel of the VN.

I don't think you are being intellectually dishonest, but you are failing to understand how analysis works. Pointing out every little thing that is wrong about the overall change is essential to make your point clear and logical, but you think I'm just nitpicking about irrelevant things as if they weren't part of a whole. Would you rather I just call it bad without going into details? That would make me sound like an irrational hater.

I could also explain how voices harm the atmosphere of Higurashi and render many sound effects pointless, completely changing the atmosphere of some scenes. But if I pointed out every problem, you'd consider each one a minor thing without stopping to consider how they all come together to fuck up the original experience.
