I've just started to get into vtubers, but Hololive seems interesting to me so far because it's in a seemingly unique situation of growing a significant English fanbase that it doesn't know what to do with.

Idol culture has largely been at a distance from all but the most devout westerners, but "virtual youtubers" bridge the gap in a unique way, and this seems especially true with hololive.
With the growth and spread of vtubers like Korone and Pekora among "EOPs", I could legitimately see them growing far beyond their current numbers from just English-speakers alone.
How would hololive handle that? AI and a few others blew up, but from what I understand their model of business is totally different from hololive's model.
Would the vtubers still be able to collaborate/market themselves in the same ways, even when the majority of their audience is obviously EOPs?

HololiveEN seems like an attempt to divert this issue by shifting EOP's attention to actual English speakers, but as we all know its pretty much a crapshoot.
Actually, I think HololiveEN interests me the most.
They could be legitimately entertaining, or horrendously terrible, or just generic twitch thots. But seeing how this Japanese company handles them and any of their collaborations with the Japanese vtubers will be interesting either way.
