Yeah, and when you think about it, it's funny how there's stigma in both spending money and not spending money... or not spending enough or spending too much... when it really is a personal decision. It shouldn't be influenced by others in any way, especially not fans who claim to be better fans than you because they spend more/less money and/or time supporting. And how you react when you see idols' daily tweets like "support us, please buy our new single and retweet" is your choice. If they tweet "reply with what you'd do with us if you had us for a day" or some shit like that, it's a publicity stunt, they'll use it for more sales and coordinated. And if you tweet at/about an idol and she replies with something "personal", it's absolutely deluded to think she didn't carefully plan the response and probably discuss with the other members of her group and manager and her friends and everyone else in the world, and they probably laughed at what a pervert you are. Even if an idol you really love and are delusionally thinking loves you told you directly to your fucking face that you must pay her, it'd still be your choice. If you decided not to pay her, what could she do? Absolutely nothing. It might be rude to tell her "fuck off, I won't buy your album" but that situation will never happen in any case, and even if it did, you could argue that it's not about the money. If she told you it's all about the money, then she'd reveal that she only cares about money and even your delusion would break if you had a delusion that she loves you too... but if she said "we all need to pay bills", then it'd again become a personal decision and maybe your moral compass would affect your decision. If she said "I DON'T WANT MONEY AFTER ALL, LET'S FUCK"... well, she'd probably be fucking with you, not fucking you. So however much money you'll spend, nothing will come of it. Maybe with the most /alt/ of the /alt/ it's different, but then what you said about them probably splitting up or even ending music altogether becomes relevant so it'd be even worse if you supported them financially, tweeted at each other fucking daily and you even went to every show and all because then it'd be proof that it was all a "lie"... and like you said, most of the girls won't make it and they know it so it invariably will become just a "lie" eventually, even if they were super /alt/ in the beginning and even if somehow miraculously felt an actual connection with you personally thanks to your support.
