About the k-on girls and their live events...
On "Let's go" they played 3 songs I thinkm and on "Come with me" another 3.
The anime intros and endings are too complicated and full of effects and samples and instruments and are not show canonm and even on the live events they were all playback except vocals.
Character songs had the support band lead by Tom h@ck (who was fucking Akizilla at the time but that's beside the point.)and the keyboard guy whose name I forgot but is legit af.
Aki toyosaki plays acoustic guitar since her early teens and tried electric fuitar even before k-on, although she's not a pro by any stretch, she did her job playing power chords and even some arrangements
Satomi sato in her youth was a fujoshit that listened to green day, linkin park and other emo stuff so she learned how to play guitar and drums in her teens as well
Yoko Hikasa clearly had never touched a bass in her life but as a musician myself I applaud the hassle and her commitment to learn how to play the songs left handed AND sing at the same type, specially pure pure heart with the breaks and stuff...
Ayana Taketatsu seems like she does not give a fuck but at both the events she had lead guitar moments as well as power chords which surprised me and makes me think she could have some potential
Now, minako kotobuki is confirmed best girl, her parents are music teachers, and she's japanese which means she is 100% versed in piano and classic music and in fact carried the band alongside satomi sato
But yeah I wish they had played all the songs and pretending is a bit dumb and cringe but they're still singing
