I WON'T ACCEPT A TRUTH WITHOUT THE HEART

I've been reading some threads from 2010, around the release of Episode 7. Were any of you here at that time? Why was everyone so pissed with everything? I've finished Episode 7 recently and I'm gonna start 8 around next month and I'm already pretty satisfied. All of the answers are more or less what I expected and predicted and it doesn't sound too ridiculous (in comparison to Higurashi at least). From what I read, it seems people just didn't understand Will's answers and were pissed because of Yasu. I agree that I don't really like Shannon, however saying the whole thing was dumb is a stretch to me. It seems natural to me why s/he would plan the murders, considering her/his past and her/his perspectives for the future.
I just wish it had more Ronove, Dlanor and Kanon. Please explain to me why all the hate and "Umineko is shit now" even when there wasn't a translation out. Was it all an elaborate trolling scheme?
