Maybe, but who knows? Just because the creator started out with some ideas doesn't mean they have to follow through. In the beginning SDM got a lot of coverage but as the character pool expanded, Sakuya and Suika as well as Reimu and Remi haven't even received much attention outside the ring. In fact, when's the last time you saw Reimu?

Besides, who wins is less important than how the fights go!

Anyways, what are people's predictions for the current Tenshi/Okuu vs Byakuren/Shou fight?

Whose plot armor do you think is thickest? Fittingly enough, the two underdog characters with heavy plot armor right now are Sanae (power of love, and demonstrated plot armor...although her second win was up to a vote by fans) and Sakuya (order by Remilia to meet her in the finals). Poor Sanae doesn't escape severe injuries though ;_;

Of course, Team 75% Scarlet (Remi X Reimu)is still a heavy favorite to win-though they haven't gotten much character focus, so perhaps their plot armor will take a dent despite having the original main character of Touhou.
