i don't think anyone is really giving troll suggestions. some people don't like shmups and are recommending the fighter, IN is actually really fun but the last spell system is horrible for teaching you how to bomb properly and makes the game a complete cakewalk, and PCB is the first really modern one because it gives you a visible hitbox and a boss indicator, but is actually quite difficult if you aren't abusing your supernatural borders.

The first I played was IN, but I went and actually 1cc'd EoSD first.
