It's a shame that hindsight completely changes people's perspectives on a character. Pre-Chiru Beato was fucking great, but have fun finding that nowadays without thinking "They got that detail wrong about her" or "Did they really play EP4 and still think Beato was a separate character?" Not to mention the obvious memes about her since she's now irreparably tied to a character that will forever be debated on what set of genitals they had before they got smashed on a rock. It's sad, but I suppose that's human nature for you.

Going to go to sleep soon, so sorry for not giving your reply its due, but we honestly don't disagree all that much. Most of what you said above the end bit I agree with, although I'd probably put more belief into that Eva can kill, as although it may not be for money, she most certainly killed Rudolf and Kyrie out of both self-defense and revenge. I wouldn't hold anything to her for that of course, and god knows Eva's probably one of the best people on that island despite my memey joke at the beginning of the thread. It's legitimately sad how she breaks under the pressure of society believing her to have killed all her family, and Ange being the final screw in the coffin that drives her off the edge.
It wouldn't be too surprising for Nanjo to pull out a psychiatry degree as well at this point, considering how many different fields he seems to be good with, sex change operations being chief amongst them potentially. I'm surprised "I wouldn't put it past Nanjo" isn't a meme yet.
Honestly, regarding Natsuhi, I really do feel like she wouldn't do anything nearly as drastic without certain factors. If we disregard Tohya and Yasu's forgeries, then all we know is that Natsuhi threw the baby off the cliff, and not if she could kill again. It's a case of nature vs nuture I think here (although nature might be somewhat reaching here if you believe she got that pride from somewhere else), where you believe it's in Natsuhi's nature that she's too prideful to not eventually commit the same sin elsewhere, or another of similar magnitude, whereas I'd argue it was Natsuhi's nuturing in the Ushiromiya family, her pride being pulled up ever further past its original (likely high) point to become borderline narcissism, that caused her to lash out when it was crushed. Within a family that held no pressure, no needance of an heir, I would say that she might have never committed any atrocities at all, while I think you would likely say it was only a matter of time before she did something on an equally horrifying scale. It's something I think we'll probably not be able to agree on, since it's a difference in our core beliefs in why people do the cruel things they do. Either way, good discussion. I enjoy talking at length with people about characters, as it pushes me to try and further understand them.
