Yeah, personally I use NovelAI since it's a good tradeoff between cost and effectiveness. They have a free trial so you can get your feet wet without having to pay, though. There's a free alternative called KoboldAI, but that runs on your local hardware and you need some technical knowledge to set it up. The /vg/ thread's OP is a little messy but it has good advice; unfortunately the thread itself has been getting shit up by autists recently but monstergirls are pretty popular there so plenty of people can give you advice.
