You should do the newbie investigation one first at least, in events, that should give you a bunch of materials. Don't expect motifs from multiplayer, they're completely unexpected and only from the toughest maps. Harder multiplayer map clear rewards reset daily, in case you want to get more anima or fill up your shell storage.
