Matsuribayashi heavily implies she'd get killed off even if she "won", both Mion and Takano herself speculate that at points.

The console arcs outright confirm it. One of the console exclusive Connecting Fragment scenes show her assassination.

I wish we had gotten a canon version of Takano's death in GHD fragments, rather than just a few hints it happens even when she "wins" in Matsuri. Console Connecting Fragments actually has it, but it's really rushed.
