Listen the fuck up. Nobody cares. No really, nobody gives a damn. This is a character designed by ZUN, of all people. He doesn't let himself be bound by the original lore when it comes to his character design. For that matter, even in WaHH, Aunn is given the cheery, friendly characterization that is typically associated with canines. Even in Asian cultures, from which shiisaa originate, komainu and shiisaa are generally characterized as being rather dog-ish. And do you know why? Because humans generally find that dogs are cuter than lions. And in Japan, cute is king. If Aunn Komano being depicted as a dog truly offends you so deeply, maybe you'd be better served by learning japanese and bitching on the japanese imageboards and pixiv instead, because that's where most of the dog characterizations come from. At the very least, post some good images along with your little autism fueled spaz-outs.
