Sengoku is the main translated game and is standalone plotwise.

The other translated games are the ones from the 90s
Rance I, Rance 2 (graphic update of Rance II not a remake), Rance III, Rance IV, Rance 4.1 and 4.2 and Kichikuou Rance.

Rance 2, III and IV are okay but old.
Kichikuou Ranc is old but still pretty good.

KR has direct references to the games before it but you could play it without them (they're quite short though).

There are translated digest versions for Rance I and II if you don't want to play them. (Rance I is worthless and Rance II is only good for introducing a few major characters).
