I was already doing an Anki deck for a while so I wasn't looking up every other word(felt like I was though sometimes), and I manually look up kanji I don't know instead of using a hooker, so even though I spend about an hour(sometimes less) a day, I read pretty slowly. And I guess I'm retarded.

Yomichan? I mainly use Rikaichan on Pale Moon alongside the Kenkyusha J-E dictionary. For that particular word I also tried googling and only got similar definitions.
