So, it's been 4 or 5 months since I last asked... Any new news regarding the Tsukihime remake? I understand it got sidelined in favor of original projects, but has anything new been announced?

So... any news about the Tsukihime remake? It's been something like a year since the last time I think I heard anything. Starting to get kind of worried...

You are now realizing that Satsuki's events in the Akiha route were in fact the best part of said route. That said, if she got her own route, she would either catapult to the top as the best heroine in the game, or lose all credibility and wind up as the worst instead.

Since her route in the remake is as confirmed as is can be with the little we know, we are going to see one of these outcomes in time. The only question is 'which?'. I'm personally hoping for the first outcome, but all things considered, I'm pretty much expecting the second.

So what do you hope for /jp/? An awesome route that blows the others out of the water? A terrible route that destroys her character?

It's time for yet another late night Sacchin post! Today's challenge: Get an actual discussion going. Tsukihime threads are gettin fairly scarce and Sacchin threads even more so- the last really good Sacchin thread I can remember was a year or so ago and it was on /a/. I'm shooting for just a general Tsukihime topic today, but we'll see where it goes.

Today I'd like to discuss the topic of 'alignment'. I'm referring to the D&D style 'Lawful-Chaotic/Good-Evil classification. How would you classify the characters in Tsukihime (and fluff)? And why? Note that every alignment does not need to be represented here, nor is it necessary to classify every character.

I'll start:

Arcuied- Chaotic Neutral. Alot of people will probably disagree with me. But think- she pretty much admits to Shiki that until she met him she never had need or desire to interact with others. Further, she doesn't really hold any real concern over human life- she would have been perfectly content letting Chaos go about his business if he hadn't crossed paths with her. Every thing she did, killing Chaos, dragging Shiki around, her reasons for hunting Roa- all of them were entirely self interested. Many of her actions and responses, taken individually or as a whole, could be used to make the argument that she is mildly sociopathic.

Granted, her meeting with Shiki altered her perceptions and eventually led to her making a few selfless (though perhaps poorly thought out) decisions. But overall, I think her personality best fits with the Chaotic Neutral archetype.

I'm drunk and confused right now. But this has been on my mind for a while now. With a Tsukihime remake coming up in '09 or '10, there is supposed to be a Sacchin route.

My porblem is that I have no idea how such a thing could come to be. I understand WHY (Arc's route kind of bridges into Ciel's, and Akiha's kind of bridges into the maids. Sacchin kind of sets the ball rolling in Akiha's route so she was probably meant to act as the bridge to that route) I just dont really see how its meant to happen. Is Shiki gonna end up following along as Sacchin kills people until he goes MIND OF STEEL or something?

My main issue isn't how the story progresses, just how Shiki could end up with Sacchin without things falling apart very quickly like they do in the Far side routes. This is a fairly meaningless post, considering Nasu has known the answer to my question from the start, but still I'm the sort that always tries to make predictions so I can gloat to myself when I'm right and be happy the writer caught me off guard when I'm wrong.

So: Assuming Sacchin's route is going to be a near side route, what the hell is going to be going on from roughly days 1-5, assuming it follows the same trend as Ciel's route and branches off after that?
