Just don't give them access to your emotions so easily.
When you start a relationship, you usually think ahead and picture what you guys will be in the near future, creating expectations of them.
And then as they start to fuck that up along the way you get hurt liek " Oh no. :c"
So rather than give yourself away just like that, because you assume it'll be an amazing relationship, allow the both of you to paint the picture bit by bit.
