umineko has more art on pixiv than higurashi if that makes you feel better, but actually I think it's more that most of the doujinshi for both series weren't released on sites like DMM and DLsite for anyone to download and upload since, during their prime, most artists just sold them irl at comiket and other events and that was it. so they aren't as easily accessible for people to get, nor were there as many uploaders back then as there are in recent years, plus other franchises were more popular.

for comparsion, there are 275 higurashi doujinshi on sadpanda, but there's a whopping 1259 on the Mugimugi doujinshi database (138 and 952 respectively for umineko), so we're missing out on nearly 2000 doujinshi. this isn't counting artist CG sets on sadpanda btw since a lot of them are just free image sets released on Pixiv so the numbers might be a little off.
