Read between the lines:
>She does not exist in the worlds before this one, nor does she influence them.
It's about worlds, not games. Like Lion's world, Erika can exists in a world, but she doesn't exist in other worlds.
EP5 is the only game where someone (here Genji) could call the police etc. It's a lie btw because the Furudo family/police didn't confirm it (read Erika's TIP from EP6). So it should be clear that Erika's identity isn't really confirmed.

Now then, the only time Erika said in red she is the detective was in EP6 where she is the culprit. In EP5 it was Bernkastel's detective authority that pushed Battler away, not Erika's.
It can make sense that the mastermind overheard the coast guard radio that someone named Erika Furudo went missing on the sea.
Well, it's just an interpretation but it makes the logic error much better.
