It’s possible that Tengu are Ovoviviparios, where the mother withholds the eggs until they hatch internaly. Some species of sharks, snakes, and frogs do this. The embryo still isn’t connected to the mother and instead grows using a finite yolk, but they’re never “laid” until they’re ready to have hatched otherwise.

Another possibility is that the egg shells are soft and Maluable instead of hard like a traditional bird. Human vaginas can already stretch a lot to accommodate a baby’s skull, which is also pretty soft. A Tengu’s egg could become an appreciable size if both the egg is squishy enough and if the mother is stretchy enough.
