I've had a feeling that the fanbase has been dwindling but I never thought that it was this bad. The peak was in 2009.

Also, the games haven't been very exciting.

>Zun's refusal to look into other cultures so the games are full of repeated disposable characters
>considerable less effort in character designs and backstories
