Haruhi wanted to meet ghosts to learn what they think about regrets. She read a newspaper article about the GHD and decides to take a trip to Hinamizawa, since there are rumors about ghosts appearing there (similar setting as in Yoigoshi).

Mei's mysterious main villain connects Haruhi's fragment to Hinamizawa 83 in order to attempt to steal her world creation power for something and when they arrived in the Furude Shrine they end up in Hinamizawa 83.

They hang out with the club for a while and are invited for the Watanagashi next night. Rika and Hanyuu realized what was going on and told the Haruhi crew to escape to the shrine to leave their world, meanwhile, a mass outbreak starts, with everyone aside from Rika, Hanyuu and the Haruhi cast going crazy during the festival.

The Haruhi cast runs away to the shrine which has a portal Hanyuu built with Haruhi's power. Meanwhile, Rika stays behind to use this chance to confront the mastermind behind everything. In Rika's character story, it's revealed Hanyuu borrowed part of Nagato's power and fused it with a card (fragments in Mei), which Rika uses to power up and face the culprit (this shot I'm posting specifically), although her scene ends here without showing the confrontation or who the enemy actually is (although their identity is very obvious and outright spoiled in the script rip).

Kyon wakes up back in his world and Rika talks with him as a ghostly image, saying Kyon and his friends gave her hope to continue on. Haruhi wakes up afterwards thinking it was all just a dream and they actually had just set up camp after arriving, but was satisfied and decides to leave.
