If there's one thing I absolutely despise from my travels throughout East Asia, it's their fucking obsession with having some variant of sweet corn-flavored ANYTHING or as a random topping. Or worse yet, corn soup-flavored anything. It doesn't matter where I went, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, even fucking Singapore, that shit would be on the shelves or in the menu with everything else. It didn't matter what brand it was, be it Calbee or Lays, it was omnipresent, you couldn't escape it. I'm an American who loves good old-fashioned corn on the cob with some butter on the side, but that shit is nauseating anywhere else. I remember one time I went to have a basic fucking beef bowl with no mention of it and what was served with it? Practically an entire motherfucking bowl of motherfucking sweet corn that raped the god damn RICE. IT DOESN'T GO WITH ANYTHING AT ALL, IT NEVER COMPLIMENTS THE FLAVOR, IT MOLESTS EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DISH IT GOES ON, IN, UNDER, OR BETWEEN.
