For accessories, next to the obvious squirrel-flavored acorn accessory, I gave her green armbands and a necktie that really stand out against the brown backdrop, and give her a stronger reporter-like look.
Her tie and armbands also have acorn designs, her messenger bag also has an acorn-like color and shape, with acorn-shaped metal fittings, just acorns all over the place with her.

There were some changes from my original design plan.
At one point I had an idea to give her a hat, but dropped that because it made her look more like a librarian or some kind of civil worker, rather than a member of the press.
I also toyed a lot with the length of her clothes. They were shorter first, barely hiding her lower body with her long tie, but I felt like that tipped the balance of cute and lewd too far to the lewd side, so I settled on the current design.
It's still pretty risque even now though!
