As someone who comes here every couple days to bully people who perpetuate misinformation while being complete beginners and get into arguments with people who insist that their weirdo supplementary studies are something everyone should do, DJT has actually been a bit better the past few weeks than it was a year ago, despite the general decline in quality in the thread. I have no idea what happened. Maybe quizmaster scared enough mattdrones and koohii drinkers out of the thread to make a difference. Maybe the latest wave of them was a bunch of new years resolutioners and they finally gave up. Either way, keep it up, DJT, you're finally starting to be able to walk again.

On another note. To be more fair to sentence cards than I was in my longwinded argument in that first archive link, they are technically better than every other non-recognition format in >>21274013 and there's nothing about them that prevents people from learning Japanese. They're just extremely time consuming and provide either very little or negative amounts of benefit over normal recognition cards with sentences on the back. Of course, you shouldn't actually have sentence translations on your cards unless you're still using a bad shared deck like Core2k. Image needs updating, Core2k is no longer and assumption. Still there's absolutely no reason to use sentence cards instead of vocab cards and more reading with the time you save by switching.

I've been reading the 転生したら剣でした WN (it has an LN adaptation as well) and I'm completely glued to the screen. This is probably just because it's the first competent なろう系 I've read in pure text, meaning that it's probably just the honeymoon effect, and I'm not very far in, so things might change, but pretty much everything that's happened so far has been riveting or fucking hilarious. I haven't had this much fun reading since I was a little kid reading crackhead harry potter fanfiction online. Oh god, that's exactly what it is. It's the magic of reading as a complete genre-illiterate.
