I hear you, actually analyzing the pond tends to backfire on me more often than not.

take your 2pin for example, on paper it's the safest since we can look at kabe and see that all of the 1pin are out making the 123 menstu impossible. you also have 3 of them meaning that a shanpon wait isn't possible either. this only leaves a one-chance tanki or a 34pin ryanmen wait on the 25suji. kandora tend to be a tad safer than normal dora since they are revealed later in the game and other players may be unable/unwilling to accomodate them into their hand given their current trajectory.

that said, with all this ligic and probability behind you, you're still gonna deal into the asshole that made the same math and figured someone would toss it on that merit.
