By research I meant nothing and to relate it to Haibane, it's just my fantasy that dying lets you eternally dream in whatever fictional worlds you'd like.

Though if you want, you can imagine me actually researching abandoned theories in abandoned libraries.

Interesting. Guess the library is bigger on the inside than on the outside.
Also, your filenames are beautiful.

Good evening /jp/,

In order the extend my vocabulary and get a better intuition for the language in general, I'm looking for some (very) simple Japanese literature. It should have lot's of furigana, be neither too formal nor too colloquial and have a nice mix between spoken and written language.

How do light novels fare in this? Not being a endless series would be plus, as it's probably going to take me forever to finish even one book.
Manga would probably work as well, the strong emphasis on spoken language with few connected sentences as left me clueless as to what to look for though.

Could you recommend me some nice reading material?

Probably.
I'd love to visit Voile, though.
And to see Kappa tech, though that's unlikely, seeing how they shy away from humans. And the whole live-on-a-mountain-infested-with-youkai thing.

I honestly just like that last one because it reminds me of Jet Set Radio, which was a fucking incredible game and you should all go play it again.

...You did all play it before, right?

/jp/ is full of unmotivated people, that's an universally known fact. However, how do you guys find motivation to read visual novels? Or to do anything, actually?

...I wanted to throw some unnecessary adjectives in there to make the thread possibly more interesting, but I guess I failed at that. Oh well.

Yes, yes it i- no it's just ponpo &c.

Anyway, there is some enjoyment to the more lighthearted Gensokyo, but picturing it as more human and "dark" is more enjoyable.

Of course the Library probably wouldn't have fit inside the house, I mean the thing is gigantic, so they probably made the house with the Great Library's location already in-mind.

Voile is plain huge, but it isn't clear how much of it is permanently there and how much is Sakuya messing around.
