can someone aware me on the current DDR scene? what's the most popular version out right now, and would you basically have to be in japan to play it?

i only ever had the original purple, orange (ddr2), and green (extreme) discs for ps2. just casually dicking around after not touching my setup after a few years.

newfag question: is maxx unlimited supposed to be an easy or difficult song (always played alone so i don't really know in the grand scheme)? are you actually supposed to use training mode (lol)? i got to AA on so deep and maxx unlimited just brute forcing a few (ten?) thousand times, was actually pretty fun

what made YOU want to play rhythm games? it was originally my bro's setup so i learned to get some exercise, but when i think about it it seems insane obsessively perfecting charts while listening to the same songs for almost a decade
