I never really got the whole criticism that "porn objectifies women" until I watched a few idol videos. Now I realize what they meant. The "idols" are not people, they are fetish objects, they have no personality or reality. No, those fake, cutesy "idol interviews" don't count - the fapper is just fapping to an image. In idol porn, the weird lechery of it is all the more obvious if they aren't naked.

A lot of porn is like that, and that's why people say it "objectifies" women.

But there are exceptions - hentai manga and doujins, though far from real, at least have characters with personality. It's not perfect, it may be stereotypical, but at least it's a personality of some sort. Visual novels are even better, often the characters are well fleshed out. If you fap to celebrities, there's at least the public personality, which may be fake but at least is something.

tl;dr: Idol videos SUCK.
